Presenting the model of knowledge-based economy in higher education in Islamic Azad University of Tehran province. IUESA 2024; 12 (45) :1-11

The main purpose of this article is to present the model of knowledge-based economy in higher education in Islamic Azad University of Tehran province.
Materials and methods: The research method is applied in terms of objectives, qualitative data in terms of the type of study, and the data of the emerging foundation. Based on the purposeful snowball sampling method and based on theoretical saturation, 17 experts were selected. The data collection tool is exploratory interviews. After data collection, their analysis was done in the form of open, central and selective coding, and based on the data analysis, a suitable model of knowledge-based economy in higher education was presented.
Findings: The results of the research indicate that this model consists of six dimensions: causal factors, main phenomenon, contextual factors, strategic factors, intervening factors and consequences, and 15 components and 84 constructive indicators, which compared to other Models are more reliable; Therefore, the application and operationalization of the mentioned model can greatly help to improve the quality of higher education.
Conclusion: The study of knowledge-based economics in Islamic Azad Universities can be a step towards improving the quality in the higher education system, especially at the level of schools and educational groups.
