The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of strategic entrepreneurship on the performance of financial services firms with a mediating role of organizational ambidexterity. Using organizational ambidexterity variables (5 questions of exploration and 5 questions of exploitation) and strategic entrepreneurship (3 questions each dimension) as an independent and mediating variable and organizational performance as dependent variables, the research model was formed. The research method in this paper was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive and correlational in terms of how to collect information. The statistical population of this study was experts and managers of research and development, marketing and sales, planning and finance units of financial services companies such as banks, leasing companies, insurance companies and investments. The sampling method was two-stage in that in the first stage it was clustered and had four main clusters. In the next step, a number of firms in each category were randomly selected. 147 acceptable samples were collected. Data analysis was performed using LISREL software and the results showed that strategic entrepreneurship directly affects performance, strategic entrepreneurship indirectly affects performance through organizational ambidexterity, strategic entrepreneurship affects organizational ambidexterity and in finally, organizational ambidexterity affects performance.
