However, the advancement of this form of tourism faces various barriers and challenges. The primary objective of this study is to identify and analyze the facilitating and inhibiting factors affecting the development of nightlife tourism in Isfahan to propose suitable strategies for optimizing existing capacities and addressing challenges.
  2. Methodology: This research adopts a qualitative approach utilizing thematic analysis. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 19 experts in tourism, urban managers, and active stakeholders in the field of nightlife tourism. For analyzing these interviews, thematic analysis was employed to identify and categorize the key factors.
  3. results or findings: The findings indicate that the development of nightlife tourism in Isfahan depends on several facilitating factors, including: enhanced security for nighttime tourism, the promotion of nighttime activities, environmental beautification and lighting, the development of nighttime transportation infrastructure, support for nighttime tourism businesses, branding for nightlife tourism, and education and awareness. On the other hand, obstacles to its development include cultural and social barriers, economic and financial constraints, managerial and regulatory challenges, environmental concerns, knowledge-related barriers, and legal and policy limitations.
  4. Conclusion and Suggestions: Achieving sustainable development in nightlife tourism requires addressing these barriers and strengthening the facilitating factors through comprehensive planning, governmental and private sector support, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders
