In the last half century, the trend of urbanization in Iran has been on the rise. This trend of population and of course physical growth of the city of Tehran has caused that different areas of the capital are facing serious problems in providing urban services to all classes and groups within the framework of sustainable development goals.Therefore, in this study district 3 of Tehran was investigated according to indexes of quality of life having emphasized on the approach of city prosperity. In this investigation, documentary method was used together with note taking method (electronic note taking) to perform exploratory studies and preparation of theoretical foundations of the research. In executive process of the research, statistical data from different organizations such as Statistical Center of Iran and Tehran Municipality was collected, categorized and analyzed and finally SWOT strategic planning technique was used to detect strengths and weakness points of district 3 and also threatening factors of that district. According to analyses, it was detected that in spite of strength points such as high rate of per capita green space, appropriate educational space, quality and ease of access to public spaces and communication lines for residents, the district faces serious challenges such as high rate of crimes and various environmental and noise pollution due to presence of trans-regional usages.
