The importance of tourism is from the economic and employment dimensions to the extent that it can be considered as the driving force of any country. In this regard, one of the pillars of tourism development is to study the factors affecting its demand. Therefore, the phenomenon of climate change is one of the main concerns of tourists. Therefore, the aim of this study is to determine the most important climatic factors affecting the demand of international tourism in Iran. For this purpose, the ARDL self-explanatory pattern was used during the period 2018-1981. The results of this study indicate that climate variables including temperature, rainfall and carbon dioxide emissions have a negative and significant effect on the number of foreign tourists entering to tourism poles of Iran. So, according to the results of one percent increase in climate variables, temperature, precipitation and carbon dioxide emissions have decreased by 0.23%, 1.1% and 0.45% respectively in foreign tourists.
