Abstract: (16 Views)
Background and objective: The importance of sustainable urban incomes on urban resilience is one of the most fundamental axes of modern urban management and is the basis of a city's ability to resist and recover from crises. Accordingly, paying attention to sustainable incomes in the Tehran city, with a population of more than 10 million people, is of great importance in urban development.
Methods: This study examines the interaction effects of sustainable urban incomes and urban resilience of Tehran city using the vector autoregression method in the time period (2011q4-2024q3).
Findings: The effects of the instantaneous response functions and variance analysis indicate that the sustainable income of Tehran Municipality has the highest response to itself shocks, urban population, and human capital (the number of students). Also, the shocks to the number of employed people and urban infrastructure (the number of roads) do not have a significant effect on the sustainable income of Tehran Municipality. The number of employed people shows the greatest response to itself shocks. Urban population fluctuations are strongly affected by shocks to the number of urban employment. The behavior of human capital (the number of students) is significantly affected by economic conditions, especially urban income. Also, the urban infrastructure (the number of roads) is affected by the sustainable income of Tehran Municipality and labor market developments.
Conclusion: The urban sustainable incomes depend on urban population and human capital rather than being affected by labor market developments or urban infrastructure.
