Cities, CPI-MC Global Fund, bypassing banking sanctions

IUESA: Regarding cities’ opportunities in post-sanctions, Sadeghi Shahdani, president of faculty of Islamic sciences and economics of Imam Sadiq University said we need economic development and absorbing internal and external investment in urban domain as development of urban mega projects is reduced because of no financial absorption.

One of the urban infrastructures that extremely need development and investment is undoubtedly urban transport, he added.

Emphasizing on absorption of foreign finance, he said undoubtedly, urban transport is one of the top priorities in absorbing foreign investment for urban and governmental managers.

Referring to the idea of establishing CPI-MC Global Fund, Sadeghi Shahdani said it can be considered as an effective step because of sanctions limitations and financial restrictions, in the government and municipality.

Development of transport of inter-city rail network and monorail with global standards cannot be achieved only by relying on internal investment.
