Journal News: Expressing that one of the principal concepts proposed in urban field and super-concept that covers many subjects is the concept of urban sustainable development, he said: in fact, approving the concept of sustainable development in the international community in the 1980s and 1990s, this concept was introduced in other subjects and in urban areas and the concept of urban sustainable development was created. Urban sustainable development can be defined as a process of creating sustainable and urban city suitable for present and future citizens’ life so that their needs to be resolved.

Noting that such a process requires success in achieving urban qualitative and quantitative goals, the concessionaire of scientific-research Quarterly Journal of Urban Economics and Management said regarding quantitative targets, dynamic and updated urban economy in line with increasing citizens’ welfare, increasing productivity, raising the level of employment, fair distribution of municipal revenues and the creation of urban infrastructure associated with the city’s businesses can be mentioned.

Referring to the qualitative goals and said: this section will provide materials such as social justice, equality of present and future generations, to maintain reserves of natural resources, cultural fertility, responsibility, creativity and innovation, strengthened integrating social structures, cohesion, adaptability and social participation, political participation, urban governance and national integration and compliance with environmental concerns and sustainability and nature’s dynamics.
