The reason of holding international conference on urban economy
IUESA: City and civilization have been the brilliant achievements of human history. Cities have been the centers of wealth and power, innovation and prosperity from the ancient cities of Mesopotamia and ancient city-states of ancient Greece and Rome. Cities are certain facts of current world; more than half of the earth population lives in the cities. Another reality is many problems and they often have economic reasons. However, it seems that new social, economic, and environmental philosophy should be adopted as the habitats of human beings and urbanized human should welcome the future with exact look and inviolable commitment, so understanding different dimensions of cities have become important more than before. Urban economy is one of the most important aspects of city. Urban economics studies the economy of urban areas using the tools of economics for analyzing issues related to urban land use, urban housing, urban transport, urban infrastructures facilities, urban finance, and even socio-economic issues such as urban poverty, marginalization, and newer issues like urban labor market, pollution and crimes.
IUESA is going to hold international conference on urban economy in order to explain urban economy conceptually and experimentally and tries to take advantage of scientific experiences of city experts, professors, and managers. It is hoped that IUESA can solve urban dilemmas to pave the way for the development of Islamic Republic.
